Ema's Story: May 2008

As I sit here wondering when I am going to be able to meet you, I cannot help but smile. I look at your picture and I cannot believe you are the child the Lord picked for me. You are the most BEAUTIFUL child I have ever seen. I am so blessed to have you. I pray for you everyday. I pray for your safety and for your health. I pray for the ladies that are taking care of you in the orphanage, and I pray that the Lord protects you comforts you everyday until your dad and I are able to get you. Ema, the love that I have for you in my heart is indescribable. It gives me chills just thinking about it. I cannot wait to watch you grow and to see what the Lord has planned for you. I am so happy that his plan for me and your dad was to adopt a baby. I cannot imagine a more perfect plan. Just a little longer Ema and I will be there to get you and I promise that I will always love you no matter what. I hope it won't be long until I am able to see your beautiful face and your sweet smile.

Word's of Encouragement

The phrase “timing is everything” is never more true than in your walk with God. However, it is most accurately stated, “His timing is everything.”When we come to a place where we trust that God’s timing is perfect, we can be content no matter where we are because we know that God will not leave us there forever.Maintaining a passion for the present means embracing where we are at this time and trusting that it is enough.
Being grateful for what we have doesn’t mean we will never have more. God doesn’t say, “If you’re so happy where you are, I’ll just leave you there.” He continually keeps us growing and moving along the path. If you are not in a place you want to be right now, refuse to let that frustrate or intimidate you.
The good news is that if you are in an uncomfortable place, God guarantees you won’t stay there. It’s just a matter of time before things change. The bad news is that if you are in a good place right now, it won’t last forever. You’ll soon be moved into stretching beyond your comfort zone. Get ready for the ride!
When we don’t have a clear leading from the God, we can never be certain we are in His will. It’s so much easier to be content with the step we’re on if we know God has a purpose for us being there.People who are not certain about God’s will for them, will give up and leave at the earliest indication of problems. They will never know the joy of going through the fire and getting to the glory.
Walking with God means living moment by moment with Him in the present. Some people live in the past. Some people live for the future. Other give no thought to future or past, living only for the moment. We need to find a balance.
We must live in the present as if we don’t have a past, certain that the steps we take today will determine our future. God says you are not to be anxious about tomorrow, for there will be plenty of things to concern you when you get there. You are to trust that He will give you the light you need, where you are right now, to take the right step.

Kate from All God's Children sent this to us to ponder on over the Memorial Day Weekend. It really helped me to look at our waiting time differently. I am trying to be patient because I know that God has something fantastic in store for us.
