Well today is our last day in the US. I woke up this morning with a nervous stomach and couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to get up and blog. I still have lots of things to do...teach my parents how to use the web cam, go to Wal-Mart to get the most important item.....SNACKS, go visit my grandmother, finish cleaning up my house,etc,etc,etc. I cannot imagine what the next two days have in store. On top of being extremely jet lagged, Kirk and I are about to become a mommy and daddy to Ema. Can you believe it? I am surprisingly calm about it. Don't get me wrong, I am excited but I am not busting at the seams yet. I guess that will come Monday night at 10:30 PM when we finally land in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Nguyen Kim Yen (Ema Li) was born on June 5th 2007 in Central Children's Hospital in Vietnam. She weighed 3.5 lbs. We received her referral on April 15th. Currently, she is in the BaVi orphanage in Ha Noi, Vietnam.

Word's of Encouragement
The phrase “timing is everything” is never more true than in your walk with God. However, it is most accurately stated, “His timing is everything.”When we come to a place where we trust that God’s timing is perfect, we can be content no matter where we are because we know that God will not leave us there forever.Maintaining a passion for the present means embracing where we are at this time and trusting that it is enough.
Being grateful for what we have doesn’t mean we will never have more. God doesn’t say, “If you’re so happy where you are, I’ll just leave you there.” He continually keeps us growing and moving along the path. If you are not in a place you want to be right now, refuse to let that frustrate or intimidate you.
The good news is that if you are in an uncomfortable place, God guarantees you won’t stay there. It’s just a matter of time before things change. The bad news is that if you are in a good place right now, it won’t last forever. You’ll soon be moved into stretching beyond your comfort zone. Get ready for the ride!
When we don’t have a clear leading from the God, we can never be certain we are in His will. It’s so much easier to be content with the step we’re on if we know God has a purpose for us being there.People who are not certain about God’s will for them, will give up and leave at the earliest indication of problems. They will never know the joy of going through the fire and getting to the glory.
Walking with God means living moment by moment with Him in the present. Some people live in the past. Some people live for the future. Other give no thought to future or past, living only for the moment. We need to find a balance.
We must live in the present as if we don’t have a past, certain that the steps we take today will determine our future. God says you are not to be anxious about tomorrow, for there will be plenty of things to concern you when you get there. You are to trust that He will give you the light you need, where you are right now, to take the right step.
Kate from All God's Children sent this to us to ponder on over the Memorial Day Weekend. It really helped me to look at our waiting time differently. I am trying to be patient because I know that God has something fantastic in store for us.

I was awake at 3:45am praying for your trip! This is a very exciting new season in your life and marriage. God has worked out every detail of this adoption! The trip is labor pains! Know that Charles and I promise to pray for you daily, several times a day.
You're in the palm of God's hand. Nothing can touch you without going over the sensitive nerve endings of our Father's hands. Don't listen to the devil's voice of lies! Listen for God's sweet words of encouragement!
